Hygiene

The Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ …the most hygienic hand dryer in the world!

As
the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ makes use of powerful air currents (288 km/u) to blast the water literally off the hands, users are not required to rub their hands anymore to ensure complete dryness. Latent bacteria don't stand a chance this way. In addition, the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ only takes about 10 seconds to completely dry users' hands, therefore making the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ very hygienic; considering the fact that wet hands spread up to 1000 times more bacteria than dry hands.

Furthermore, the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ can be operated completely 'touch-free', thereby eliminating physical contact between clean hands and dirty dryer. In order to improve hygiene even further, the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ features an antibacterial coating. This antibacterial coating substantially reduces the potential spread of harmful bacteria amongst users by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria and fungi.

By using the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ your washroom will remain clean and tidy, as paper waste is history. Finally the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ collects the wastewater removed from your hands safely in a drain tank at the base of the dryer. Due to this, the floor under the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ will remain clean and dry. Other hand dryers don't have this drainage capacity, often resulting in wet floors, walls and clothes.

Anti-microbial coating
All parts of the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ that come into contact with water are coated with an antibacterial coating. The antibacterial coating utilizes Silver Ion Technology. When silver ions come into contact with the cell walls of common bacteria, they interfere with protein synthesis inhibiting growth and multiplication. The effectiveness of this anti-bacterial coating has been extensively tested and proven by a leading independent German Hygiene Institute (http://www.hyg.de/).

Filtered air
Advanced design ensures that the airflow of the Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ is always fresh and dry. The air duct from the hand dryer is isolated from the waterdrop flow. Inserting the hands triggers a stream of fresh air from the air ducts, enabling hand drying with maximum speed and comfort.

Other similar high-speed hand dryers are sometimes equipped with a
High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter impregnated with anti-microbial additives. Manufacturers of these hand dryers state that HEPA filters are capable of purifying air by filtering 99% of bacteria. However, through extensive testing in early stages of development, Mitsubishi Electric Engineers have found that HEPA filters clog very rapidly. This not only adversely affects the efficiency of the hand dryer, as the speed of the airflow is drastically reduced; it also affects the effectiveness of the filter itself. Not so hygienic after all!

Cold or Warm air
The Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ deliberately uses cold instead of warm airflow. Cold air prevents an increase in bacteria that generally thrive in warm and humid environments.

The Mitsubishi Jet Towel™ is optionally available with a build-in heater. The heater stores heat when the unit is not in use, blowing out this warmth when operated to speed up the hand drying process. Air temperature is at a comfortable 35 degrees Celsius. The result is comfortable, warm air at each use, for exceptional service during the winter or in cold-weather districts.
